This is Beatrice who we met at Island Images in Oak Bluffs on Martha's Vineyard. She was pretty darn cute tending the shop in her red hoody. I still need to work on my photographic skills. The painting itself has more depth and the background stays back. So this girl is a bit of a story. I was at the supermarket and after my groceries were checked out and bagged I found my wallet was not in my purse. I offered them a check which they would not accept without a drivers license, which of course was in my wallet. As I tried to figure out what I could do the gentleman behind me in line handed the cashier his credit card and said he would be happy to accept my check without a drivers license. I could not thank him enough. We exchanged cards and the next day I sent an email asking if he had a pet I could paint for him. I was so happy when he said he had a german shepherd and not a black lab which are such a challenge for me. I thoroughly enjoyed a 3-day workshop with Dreama Tolle Perry http://dreamatolleperry.com at the Parish Center for the Arts in Westford, MA. This workshop was all about color and transparent paints. Dreama truly brings joy to painting. What a treat it was to work with her and other talented artists from the New England area.
