 I enjoyed a wonderful three days of painting with Qiang at the Falmouth Artists Guild. He is a talented artist with a structured approach to painting which appeals to me. I painted these onions on the final day and they were clearly the best of my three attempts. I'm now very excited about exploring still life further at home in the studio!

 This painting is an experiment with a more contemporary look. The 30-day challenge had me taking every attempt very seriously knowing I would have to post the results. I am enjoying the freedom of painting just for the pure joy of it.
 I love the one dropped ear look, so expressive! The 30-day challenge has me hooked on a square format. I have been playing with a few landscapes but it's the dog portraits that keep me painting.  Not all my favorites are here but the colors of this group
and direction of their gazes work well together. I have a few commissions to work on but I'm looking forward to painting at a more leisurely pace! |
