I enjoyed a wonderful three days of painting with Qiang at the Falmouth Artists Guild. He is a talented artist with a structured approach to painting which appeals to me. I painted these onions on the final day and they were clearly the best of my three attempts. I'm now very excited about exploring still life further at home in the studio!
This painting is an experiment with a more contemporary look. The 30-day challenge had me taking every attempt very seriously knowing I would have to post the results. I am enjoying the freedom of painting just for the pure joy of it.
