Yay, a black dog that I am happy with! There were several black dogs in my thirty-day challenge that I either struggled with or ignored completely. I think I'll go back and have another go at them. I can't paint dogs in New England and ignore half the labs!
It was a busy weekend catching up with my painting. It is nice to have dogs to paint but they are also always in the back of my mind as work undone. It's not easy to paint dogs I haven't met and for that reason I'm happy to do the paintings with no commitment on the part of the owner to purchase the results. I want everyone to be totally pleased, including myself.
